Impact Areas

The requirement for remedy for past environmental and social harms currently applies to APRIL, Suppliers, and TPL.

Based on this, remedy plan will cover three impact areas: Riau, North Sumatra and Kalimantan.

The identified impact areas will serve as the primary basis for:

  • Assessing Baseline Conditions: Establishing the state of the impact areas pre commencement of the or unacceptable activities.
  • Evaluating Current Conditions: Analyzing current state of the impact areas, subject to unacceptable activities. This assessment will encompass, but not be limited to land cover and land use including environmental values and ecosystem status and social aspects that have suffered harm.
    • The overlapping village administrative boundaries within impact area will be considered for baseline assessment.
