APRIL has welcomed the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) confirmation that APRIL has met the conditions set by FSC tied to the September 2025 incident between PT Toba Pulp Lestari (PT TPL) and members of the local community.
As required, APRIL commissioned an independent investigation into the root causes of the incident and submitted the investigation report to FSC on 27 February, followed in March by an action plan responding to the investigation team’s recommendations.
On 3 June 2026, FSC determined that APRIL had met the conditions, confirming that the measures and commitments described in the action plan meet the requirements of the FSC Remedy Framework.
